ASA Membership
ASA membership dues were established to offer affordable connection for all stormwater professionals while also ensuring long-term financial sustainability for the organization. ASA cannot exist without support from its partners, supporters, and its members. The effectiveness of ASA's work and its connecting events and offerings are enhanced by the support of its event and website sponsors. Descriptions of each level of membership are provided below.

Regardless of how you have decided to support ASA, the waters of Alabama and the professionals who protect them thank you.
ASA Stormwater Professionals serve in both construction and post-construction environments. Members are from public and private industry sectors and represent both regulators and the regulated. They are professional practitioners, consultants, team members, and providers that support the stormwater community. In true alignment with ASA's mission, the greatest benefit of becoming a member as a Stormwater Professional is connection - connection with best practices, connection with regulatory requirements, and connection with other stormwater professionals. All Stormwater Professional members, including those covered under Sustaining Partner and Supporting Organization memberships receive significant discounts on ASA event registration fees.
Supporting Organization - $500 to $1,500 per year
Similar to ASA's Sustaining Partners, ASA's Supporting Organizations have also shown a desire to support ASA at a level beyond what they might give for simply paying individual dues for their employees. Supporting Organizations may give at three different levels, depending on their means, number of employee memberships needed, and their desired degree of contribution. Benefits for Supporting Organizations vary based on their chosen level of support - River Level, Creek Level, Branch Level.
Sustaining Partner - $5,000 per year
ASA's Sustaining Partners have a deep desire to ensure the success of ASA, and also have the means and a mission related to the protection of Alabama's natural resources. These typically larger organizations provide foundational financial support for the long-term success of ASA. They may or may not have a need for the many member benefits of this financial contribution. Benefits include significant name recognition on the ASA website and promotional materials and unlimited employee membership and access to all of ASA's technical resources.
Students - $0
Student members of ASA are eager to learn more about Alabama's waters and how effective stormwater management can protect and restore them. Students may be pursuing degrees in engineering, environmental science, landscape architecture, or a number of other disciplines that place focus on or are related to the natural environment. Students may apply for membership and join ASA at no cost.
